RED PLANET EXPANDS IN JAPAN WITH THE OPENING OF RED PLANET SAPPORO SUSUKINO CENTRAL

SAPPORO – Red Planet today opened its second hotel in Sapporo, the 212-room Red Planet Sapporo Susukino Central. The new hotel features Red Planet’s signature modern, smart hotel design and is located just off picturesque Odori Park, in the downtown Susukino neighbourhood alongside local attractions and within easy access of public transportation. The hotel is a short walk to the Sapporo Clock Tower, Sapporo TV Tower, and scenic Nakajima Park. Spurred by the Rugby World Cup this September and increasing direct airlift to New Chitose Airport which serves the Sapporo metropolitan area, Hokkaido continues to grow and expand economically, and the prefectural government estimates more than 5 million overseas visitors will visit the region by 2020, a 79% increase in just four years.

“Like all Red Planet hotels across Asia, our new hotel is designed with comfort and environmental sustainability in mind,” said Tim Hansing, Red Planet’s CEO. “With our thoughtfully designed rooms, eco-friendly amenities, and multi-lingual staff, Red Planet Sapporo Susukino Central provides the perfect hub for travellers expecting a hotel which combines the comforts of an exceptional hotel experience with the application of relevant travel technology.”

With a well-connected location within the vibrant Susukino area, the new hotel will serve both professional- and leisure-focused visitors to Sapporo.
