  • Simon Gerovich
    Co-founder
    Chairman & Executive Director

    Simon is Red Planet’s Executive Chairman. Before founding Red Planet, Simon was active in private equity and real estate ventures in South East Asia and in this regard he served on the boards of several listed public companies in Japan and Thailand. Being a fluent Chinese and Japanese speaker, he has spent his entire professional career in Asia. Simon was formerly an Equity Derivatives Trader at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo from 2000 to 2005. He graduated with a BA, cum laude, in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 2000. Simon is a member of YPO’s ASEAN United Chapter, and serves as the Chapter’s FY2018 Finance Officer.


  • Timothy Hansing
    Co-founder
    Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director

    Tim is Red Planet’s CEO. Prior to founding Red Planet, Tim was Senior Vice President (Acquisitions and Development) for Kingdom Hotel Investments in Riyadh and Dubai. Before Kingdom, Tim served as Senior Vice President (Corporate Development) for Movenpick Hotels & Resorts. Tim has an extensive consulting background having been a director of Arthur Andersen’s hospitality services group in the Middle East and Africa and with Pannell Kerr Forster in London. He started his career in London with various operational roles at the Whitbread Hotel Group, Thistle Hotels, Canadian Pacific, and Forte.


  • Mark Reinecke
    Co-founder
    Senior Vice President – Investment & Executive Director

    Mark is a co-founder of Red Planet Hotels and oversees the investments function. Before that, Mark was Chief Investment Officer, CEO, and Vice-Chairman of listed private equity group Evolution Capital PLC, based in Bangkok. Previously, he was a co-founder and Finance Director of Kudu Co. Ltd., a Bangkok-based residential developer, and was Managing Director of Indosuez W.I. Carr Securities responsible for Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Mark started his career at Barings Securities in Bangkok after he graduated with an LLB from the London School of Economics in 1990.


  • Yoshi Ikurumi
    Group Chief Financial Officer

    Yoshi is Red Planet’s Group CFO. A native of Kyoto, Japan, he has built his international career in the United States and Japan. Yoshi started his career as a marketing specialist for Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase), and has since blended his marketing skills with his financial savvy to develop as an experienced CFO. Prior to joining Red Planet Hotels, Yoshi worked at Morgan Stanley, GE Capital, and Hewlett Packard. Yoshi holds a MBA degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


  • Florent Humeau
    Senior Vice President of Operations

    Florent has more than 15 years of professional hospitality experience from various senior operational
    management positions in France, UK, China, Seychelles, Thailand, and the Philippines. In 2017, Florent
    joined Red Planet Indonesia as Director of Operations. In July 2019, Florent was promoted to Vice
    President of Operations - Indonesia and the Philippines and in 2021, he moved to the Head Office in
    Bangkok and assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Operations.


  • David Burnett
    Senior Vice President - Technical Services

    David heads up Technical Services at Red Planet with extensive professional experience in the field of design, project development, and asset management. Previous employment includes positions as Senior Vice President and Development for Evolution Capital PLC and Vice President of Design and Development for Goldenland Property Development PLC. David holds separate Master Degrees in Architecture, Business Administration, and Real Estate from the respective UK universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the College of Estate Management in Reading. He is also a registered UK Architect and a RICS certified Project Manager.


  • Pascal Bartholome
    Senior Vice President - Human Resources

    Pascal is Red Planet Hotels’ Senior Vice President of Human Resources. He has more than 20 years international experience in the hospitality business and specialises in developing and streamlining efficiency within the human resource sector. He has previously held senior HR positions in France, the Caribbean, Thailand, and Singapore. Pascal has amassed a wealth of expertise whilst leading the HR functions in various territories with leading hotel players, most notably Accor, before joining Red Planet Hotels.


  • Patinee Kraidej
    Group General Counsel

    Patinee is Red Planet’s Group General Counsel. Before that, she was in-house counsel and corporate secretary for Evolution Capital PLC, listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Her work experience includes being an associate in a well-regarded law firm in Bangkok, advising public and private entities on general corporate matters, taxation, and international and domestic commercial transactions. Patinee is a registered Notary Public, and graduated with an LLM from the London School of Economics, and holds an LLB (Hons) from Chulalongkorn University.


  • Pattama Joednapa
    Group Financial Controller

    Pattama is Red Planet’s Group Financial Controller. Before that, she was Chief Financial Officer for Evolution Capital PLC, listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Pattama has extensive experience in all strategic and tactical matters in relation to finance and accounting, including international taxation and legal entity structures. Pattama graduated with an MSF from Chulalongkorn University and BBA from Srinakharinwirot University.


  • Jeongwuk Suh
    Vice President - Commercial

    Jeongwuk is Vice President - Commercial at Red Planet Hotels overseeing Revenue, Distribution, and Marketing. He brings with him a wealth of experience in Hospitality Revenue Management, working in various regions such as Korea, Dubai, and Thailand and spending most of his career with Accor. Prior to joining Red Planet Hotels, he was Director of Revenue Management for Accor Korea. In August 2021, Jeongwuk was promoted from Vice President Revenue & Distribution to Vice President Commercial. A native of South Korea, Jeongwuk graduated from the prestigious Swiss hotel school Glion Institute with a major in Hospitality Finance and Revenue Management.


  • Hemangi Bhandari
    Vice President - Feasibility & Development

    Hemangi is Vice President of Red Planet’s Feasibility and Development team. Previously, she worked at HVS Global Services' consulting and valuation division, focusing on South East Asian markets. Hemangi holds an MBA degree in Hospitality and Finance from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Switzerland.

    Before joining Red Planet Indonesia, Suwito had founded Republik Capital Management Limited in 2004 - a boutique real estate advisement, management and investing house focusing in major real estate assets acquisition/disposition/investment in Asia.


  • Nancy Nataleo
    Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary

    Nancy is an Indonesia Chartered Accountant (CA), Australia Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Australia, and Indonesia Certified Audit Committee Practices (CACP) with extensive experience in accounting, finance, and senior management. She started her career with PWC in Jakarta before holding various multi-disciplinary roles with several listed companies.

    Regional Director of Sales & Marketing

    Bina brings more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry working in the sales and marketing departments of local and international hotel operators including Starwood, Aston, Accor, and Best Western. Bina's most recent position was as Corporate Director of Sales with Best Western International with responsibility for all Best Western properties in Indonesia. With Red Planet Indonesia, Bina is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the company's growing portfolio of properties.

  • Jitai Jeon
    Project Director

    Reporting directly to the SVP of Technical Services, Jitai is responsible for the strategic management and execution of Red Planet Japan’s hotel development and construction activities. Over the span of 10 years he has focused on project management in the varied sectors of retail, commercial, and hospitality development. Before he joined Red Planet Japan, he was Regional Project Manager at Regus Group, covering Australia, SEA, Japan, and Korea. Jitai completed a degree in Interactive Design at Emily Carr University of Art & Design in British Columbia, Canada, and Architectural Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, U.S.A.


  • Naotaka (Charles) Koyama
    Director of Legal

    Charles is Red Planet Legal Director for Japan and is an Australian qualified lawyer (Solicitor) and a licensed Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi in Japan.
    Charles has an extensive experience both in private practice and in-house. He worked as a solicitor and partner with major law firms in Australia for more than 20 years before returning to Japan. He then occupied the head legal positions at various global organizations’ Japan offices in such areas as telecommunication, retail, pharmaceutical and information technologies, as well as holding the Board and other senior executive positions at the same time with the companies.
    Charles has bachelor’s law degrees from Sophia University and Monash University and a Master of Law (LL.M.) degree from Monash University.


  • Renaud Tsorba
    Director of Operations

    Renaud, a native of France, has been living in Japan since 2005. He started his career at the French Embassy in Tokyo as Consular Attaché before moving to the hotel industry in 2008. Since then, he has held several hotel operations posts in Tokyo, Yokosuka, and Okinawa.
    Fluent in Japanese and French, Renaud graduated with a master’s degree in Corporate Communication in France and holds a diploma in Distribution, Marketing, and Demand Management from ESSEC Business School.
    Prior to joining Red Planet, Renaud was the Hotel Manager of Niseko Central, a condominium and resort in Niseko.

  • Sahlee Zaldivia
    Country Head

    Prior to joining the hotel industry with Red Planet Hotels, Sahlee had a successful career in the field of human resources, recruitment, and training, including managing large workforces in the security industry. Sahlee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Mass Communications from St. Scholastica's College, Manila.


  • Arlan Gamat
    Regional Director of Human Resources

    Arlan has gained 20 years experience in human resources and administration management across various industries, including banking, advertising, construction, and retail. Prior to joining Red Planet Hotels, Arlan was Human Resources and Administration Manager for Building Services International, a Western Australia-based architect.


  • Albert Subarba
    Regional Director of Accounting

    In his career Albert has held managerial positions in the field of finance, accounting, audit, strategic planning, and administration at several Filipino and multi-national firms including Global Project, Avis, Central Country Estate, Bonifacio Transport, and Bonifacio Cable One Corp. He has a proven track record of accomplishment in setting up an automated back and front office systems, and his experience is underpinned by his Bachelor's degree in Accountancy obtained from the College of Commerce and Accountancy of University of San Agustin in Iloilo City. He did his CPA review at the CPA Review School of the Philippines and is currently enrolled in law degree programme.


  • Maria Rowena Esteban
    Regional Director of Sales & Marketing

    Rowena brings more than 20 years of hotel expertise, having worked for Mandarin Oriental, Hyatt Regency Manila, Amorita Resort, and BE Resort. She is a Sales and Marketing professional with a specialisation in managing teams for corporate and leisure accounts. Rowena earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from College of St. Scholastica, Manila.

  • Poonnapha Tritanachart
    Director of Operations Thailand

    Poonnapha has started with Red Planet in 2014, as The Hotel Manager for Asoke, where she ran the operations of our first hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Further, she was involved in the pre-opening of Red Planet Surawong Bangkok. Prior to joining Red Planet, Poonnapha has obtained over 10 years of experience as Operations Manager in a leading hospitality company in Thailand. She is also a holder of a Hospitality Management degree from Dusit Thani College.


  • Noppawan Chaysirirnant
    Human Resources Manager - Thailand

    Noppawan has extensive human resources experience with several international hospitality groups such as Movenpick (Phuket), Accor Hotels (Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square and Novotel Phuket), Centara Hotels & Resorts (Centara Government Complex Hotel and Convention Center Chaeng Wattana), and Holiday Inn Express (Bangkok Sathorn). Prior to joining Red Planet Hotels, she was Talent and Culture Manager at Novotel and Ibis Sukhumvit 4 in Bangkok. Noppawan graduated from Rajabhat Chandrakasem University.
